I came to UPEI without a clue of what I wanted to do with my life. My mom and dad urged me to attend school, and I knew I wanted to, but I had no idea what to take. I decided on taking Biology because my sister had taken it, and had done well for herself with biology, but, unfortunately for me, I hated it. I hated everything about biology. I failed two courses in my first semester, and was defeated, until a biology professor sat down with me and discussed my options and even suggested that I look into the school's Psychology major, as he thought I might succeed more and, he was right. I love my major and now have hopes to become a guidance counsellor, I now have reasonable goals without feeling defeated.
