I started my degree in 1995, and finally wrapped it up in 2004. With the start I got from UPEI, I was able to take advantage of opportunities throughout those 10 years to travel to Central and South America, Asia, Europe, and Australia as an international development volunteer / staff member. I worked in the cloud forests of Costa Rica, the villages of Thailand, and the sinking northern region of Guyana.
